Week 7 Power Rankings – Analysis

In our final Rivalry Week of the first half, we had more last-minute scoring swings than a toddler on a sugar high, leaving us all questioning our life choices and fantasy lineups. Chad easily claimed high points on the back of a monster showing from Bijan Robsinson on Monday night. Meanwhile, the commish suffered an epic nosedive thanks to a late-game touchdown by D’Andre Swift, compounded by the fact that the Commanders suffered a crushing defeat. As for Ronnie, he was knocked off his high horse by Shane. And let’s not even get started on the tragic downward spiral of Simon. Grab your popcorn, folks; it’s going to be a wild ride!

  1. 🌵Death by Saguaro🌵
Analysis: Chad had a commanding win and pulled out high points. His team has enough star power to remain here in the rankings for a long time, with consistent high scorers and sufficient depth to overcome key injuries. At this point, someone is going to need to step up to give him a challenge!
  2. Losers
Analysis: Well, Shane is coming alive! He has quietly managed to stay in the mix without causing any real waves, and now he sits atop the standings. Let’s see if he can kep it up!
  3. Django Achaned
Analysis: Ronnie, once thought invincible, came crashing down in spectacular fashion, courtesy of Shane. He’ll need to regroup and figure out how to avoid further disasters, although he scored well enough that I’m not worried about him.
  4. 💥Mega Powers💥
Analysis: Surprise, surprise! Brad pulled off the upset of the week, defeating the commish on Monday night and sending shockwaves through the league. With newfound swagger, he could be a dark horse contender.
  5. Flint Tropics
Analysis: Branden managed to maintain his position after looking like he could suffer a loss at the hands of Simon. If he wants to make a real push, he’ll need to avoid these near disasters.
  6. 🏈 ToeDraggSwagg 🏈
Analysis: Toe simply ran into the buzzsaw that is Chad’s team, but he put up a respectable showing in Week 6. He has enough firepower to not embarrass himself, but he’ll need to step it up to be considered among the elite.
  7. Dirty Laundry
Analysis: Victory came messily this week for Brandon—because he faced the league’s low scorer on the week. Still, a win is a win, even if it feels more like an accidental stumble into a bar. He’s being aggressive to turn it around, and we will see if it helps any.
  8. Salsa Dancers
Analysis: Sliding up many spots, Roland bested the defending champ, sending him further into the abyss. The team is not quite great, but they’re not completely awful either. If he can just find a spark, he might become the comeback story of the season.
  9. No Haters Allowed
Analysis: The commish is circling the drain like a soap opera villain—dramatic, cringe-worthy, and hard to look away from. He saw a few glimmers of hope in Week 6, but overall, his performance has been a mixed bag of missed opportunities. If he keeps it up, he could become the proud owner of the league’s most heart-wrenching “what if” story.
  10. Bully Brigade
Analysis: With a huge tumble down the rankings, Robert is looking at an uphill climb. With every week that passes, his hopes seem to deflate faster than his players’ scoring potential. He’ll need to pull off a major turnaround.
  11. LeDark Horse
Analysis: The defending champ’s team is the embodiment of “what could go wrong, will go wrong.” His roster resembles a disaster movie, where all the main characters meet untimely ends. If he can’t figure things out soon, they’ll be the team everyone else points and laughs at.
  12. Mr. steal yo Gurley
Analysis: Sinking faster than the Titanic, Simon is in a league of his own at the bottom. If there were awards for worst luck, he’d win every category—perhaps even a lifetime supply of participation trophies. If he doesn’t pull off a miracle soon, it might be time to consider retirement plans for his players.
