Analysis: Last season’s champion isn’t resting on his laurels. Chad looked very strong coming out of the draft, and Week 1 results confirm he’s ready to defend his title. His consistent improvement over the past few seasons has culminated in a championship-caliber squad, and his ability to capitalize on emerging talent and make savvy in-season adjustments keeps him positioned as a legitimate contender. He’s the team to beat until someone proves otherwise.
3. Mr. steal yo Gurley
Analysis: Simon’s long-term team building strategy is now coming to fruition. He accumulated a ton of top Taxi Squad draft picks, and those investments are starting to pay off. He was an early-season favorite coming out of the draft, and his roster depth and key playmakers showed up in Week 1 to back that up. With solid keeper players to complement his emerging talent, he has the pieces to stay in the top tier. He’ll need to avoid injury setbacks, but the early returns are promising.
4. 💥Mega Powers💥
Analysis: Brad is making good on that potential we’ve been talking about. He drafted well and came out of the offseason looking strong, with some high-upside players already starting to pay off. If his key players continue to hit their stride and he gets a bit of luck, that playoff spot we speculated about could become a lock. 5. Flint Tropics
Analysis: Branden came out of the draft looking strong, and while Week 1 didn’t land him at the very top, don’t read too much into it. Analysis: Don’t let the team name fool you—Ronnie is coming off a third-place finish last season.
