Hello Fresh People:

As you all know, COVID-19 has greatly altered how we think about player availability in this fantasy season. Here are the updates for affected teams this week:
  • The Titans-Steelers game has been rescheduled to Week 7 and Week 4 is now a bye week. You should treat any players on both teams as bye week players.
  • The Patriots-Chiefs game has been postponed, however there is currently no rescheduled date. The NFL is saying that the game may be played on Monday or Tuesday. If the game is played on Monday or Tuesday, the player stats will count for Week 4. If the game is cancelled for Week 4, these players will be treated as bye week players. **Update: The game has been rescheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET on Monday. Assuming that this game time holds, the points for Patriots and Chiefs players in lineups will count for Week 4.

A few points about our league setup to accommodate these changes:
  • You have 4 IR spots. There is no stipulation about whether players in this spot should only be on the COVID-19 list. Players eligible for this spot have to be officially assigned an NFL injury designation (i.e. IR, PUP-R, O, COVID-19).
  • Players who are simply on teams whose games have been impacted by COVID-19, but have not been given an official COVID-19 injury designation, are not eligible for your IR spots.
Finally, because the Patriots-Chiefs game is a fluid situation and since many fantasy-relevant players are on these teams, I propose the following:
  1. All league managers with Patriots and Chiefs players may set their preferred lineups as if eligible players on those teams will play in Week 4.
  2. These managers should contact me by 1 pm ET on Sunday, October 4th with an alternative lineup setup that doesn’t include players on the Patriots or Chiefs. The lineup may only consist of players currently on the roster (no waiver pickups allowed).
  3. If the postponed game plays on Monday or Tuesday, there is no change needed and the lineups will stand as set by league managers.
  4. If the game is postponed beyond Tuesday, I will replace the current lineup with the backup lineup submitted to me. This new lineup will be used for Week 4 scoring.
Thanks to you all for participating this year and, although we have a very atypical situation on our hands, I hope you continue to enjoy the season!
